Mission & Repertoire

Classical Ballet Multimedia was founded in Kyiv in 2012 with a conviction that remains unchanged today: the great works of classical ballet can inspire every new generation without losing their true beauty, depth and artistic power. For us, classical ballet does not need to be reinvented. Its music, choreography and dramaturgy are already complete. Our task is to help today’s audience feel these works more deeply, preserving every note, every movement and every artistic intention of the great composers and choreographers. Classical ballet is timeless; only the audience changes. We do not modernise classical ballet — we create a new way to experience it emotionally. Because the future of classical ballet lies not in leaving its heritage behind, but in opening it again and again to new generations, so that great art remains alive, inspiring and genuinely close to every member of the audience.

Our Own Stage Technology

This is why Classical Ballet Multimedia developed its own artistic language — a unique multimedia system designed exclusively for classical ballet. Every visual image, every animation and every cinematic scene is created for a specific production and then rehearsed for months until it becomes one with the music, the choreography and the dramaturgy of the performance. What truly sets our productions apart is that the multimedia never works as an ordinary stage projection. During every performance, a digital scenographer controls the visual score in real time, following the soloists and synchronising every transformation, every accent of light and every visual event with the artists on stage. The space comes alive: the scenery breathes with the music, objects become part of the narrative, and the audience is drawn into the story far more deeply than a traditional theatre format allows. Today’s generation has grown up with cinema, digital technology and visual storytelling. We do not try to make the classics “modern” — they are already timeless. Instead, we have created a new artistic language that lets today’s audience enter the world of great ballet naturally and deeply, while remaining entirely faithful to the original work. The stage environment is built on our own high-resolution LED screens.

Company & European Tour

Today, Classical Ballet Multimedia is an international touring ballet company presenting world-class productions on leading European stages. Our repertoire includes Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, with the principal roles danced by leading soloists of major European opera houses, recognised on the international ballet stage.
